ABOUT THE BLOG
This blog is about the basic aerodynamic movements, control surfaces and about my first assignment of flight control system.

AERODYNAMIC MOVEMENTS

YAW

yaw rotation is a movement around the yaw axis of a vehicle that changes the direction the vehicle in facing, to the left or right of its direction of motion.

PITCH

pitch motion is an up or down movement of the nose of the aircraft as shown in the animation.

ROLL

roll motion is an up and down movement of the wings of the aircraft as shown in the animation.

CONTROL SURFACES

VERTICAL STABILIZER

The vertical stabilizer consist of two parts.
1) Rudder
2) Fin

RUDDER

Rudder is the movable part in the vertical stabilizer .It is used to control the yaw motion.

FIN

Fin is fixed part in the vertical stabilizer and it supports the rudder.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZER

The horizontal  stabilizer consist of two parts.
1) Elevator
2) Tail plane

ELEVATOR

Elevator  is the movable part in the horizontal stabilizer .It is used to control the pitch motion.

TAIL PLANE

The  tailplane is a fixed surface and it supports the elevator.

AILERON

Ailerons are hinged flight control surfaces attached to the trailing edge of the wing of a fixed-wing aircraft. The ailerons are used to control the aircraft in roll,

FLAPS

Flap , a hinged surface on the trailing edge of an airplane wing .Used to increase the lift.

FIRST ASSIGNMENT OF FCS  : Build an ornithopter

ORNITHOPTER

An ornithopter is an aircraft that flies by flapping its wings.

This is the ornithopter build by me
